Re: engine sound
well still not got around to it, but for fun i've had the car up to check underneath. so far i've found that the oil sump has a leak around the plug and the exhaust has a small hole in. thinking the hole in the exhaust is the reason its not revving right because its before the lambda sensor. thats all just a guess mind you lol. but gonna have to get it up and seal it anyway so will be getting that done. anyone know how easy it is to remove the sump from the 8v 1.4i 95 reg? because i want to get that done too. even if its just a case of removed it, sealing it, retapping it and putting the bolt back in.

Re: engine sound
so heres the list of what needs to be done lol
new or fixing sump, replacing head gasket, new brakes, possibly new driveshafts, replacing an o ring in the carb (think thats what it is anyway), patching the exhaust, replacing the clutch, sorting out the mfd (need a new loom me thinks), getting some trim for the inside as some of its either cracked or missing, getting a dash with a rev counter, sorting out the o/s front wing coz it looks likes its been pulled slightly out of shape coz its not flush with the light, respraying.
i think thats about it really. apart from the cleaning of things like the icv (which i've still got to find lol) and fuel filter etc. might sound like alot, but considering i got the car cheap and im gonna be doing it all myself i think its a good investment still.
