well in theory you would have to remove the MFD and then have alook at the plug and cut off the wire to pin 8 (should be a red/grey wire)
that way when you swich your hedunit on, the info display wont recive a signal to swich the date off

in theory anyway, i have no way of testing it, could warn u it might break ur MFD

I cut the one from the loom that came with the head unit and connected the remote lead to the switch the amp. mine is an old head unit with only one switch lead, most new items hve two so there is no need to cut the one to the car, cos there is one loose to connect to.

This is the only thing I can think that I've done to make the difference, as I have not looked at diagrams. It was just an assumption that if I removed the swich lead to connect to the amp, that nothing else would be affected, as they are usually only there for electric ariels which obv aren't on a
corsa.

all it is really is there will be a wire running from the standard h/u to the mfd
you will have cut that 1 chanses are it matches up on a ISO loom to a remote for amp

hey,
tryed pressing the 2 buttons while driving, its flashes f 12 for a few seconds then flashes f 95 for a few seconds then shows the speed for a few seconds then it all lights up for a few seconds then the date comes on for a few seconds, is this the same on everyones?

yea i think so
tryed it in my m8z mk4 astra it does the same

but it only goes up to 52 or 54 kp/h any more it just says 52/4+ lol
still funny tho nice hidden digital speedo

so you hold both buttons down while driving and then speed comes on were date should be, does it stay there or just stay there 4 a few seconds

only stays on for a few seconds then goes back to the time n temp display

Im sure mine used to work with stereo on.. but the person who installed my head unit snipped my connecting block off for the stereo! so when i was re wiring my new stereo in one day ive damaged one of the wires in their and its stoped my MFD working alltogether :(

yea i ended up breaking mine in the long run same way lol
the plugs for them are incredbly fradgile!
