gear knob removal
anybudy know how you remove the stock gear knob in the 93/4 SRi model?

they just unscrew dont they? mine did
it was on tight il admin try not to snap the gearstick when undoing lol

nah i've been tryin for ages but it just keeps turnin as if thers no thread to catch mate. Any other ideas folks?

try just pulling it off im sure i read that some of them just pull off
but becarfull if u pull too hard you will brake the gear linkages!
try to get a m8 to hold down on the stick while you pull the knob off
(how dodgy does that sound! lol)

well lemme tell u this
i have a x reg ski and the gear knob was moulded onto the shaft and i had to physically cut it off was there for 2 hours and is now replaced by my momo one that matches my alloys

mine is a m reg. Someone told me to loosen off the gearstick, put it in a vice and use brute force but i dont wana risk them bein wrong an me f**kin ma gear stick

try cutting it off that way you cant break it, but im sure mine just unscrewed

just take off the first bit of the knob tehn take mole grips to the yellow plastic bit thats left then tear it off but keep the spring if there is one u will need that its really easy i done it!

ryt its done was just a case of pullin it hard an it came off. Then used plyers tae remove the plastic bit. Was then just a case of puttin on the adapter an screwin ma new wan on. Job done
