Hi Guys,
I've just bought my first car, a Corsa 1.4 LS Auto and when i bought it the guy i bought it from told me that the stereo simply needed connecting as the car didn't have one and he was throwing one in for free...
Anyway, after getting the car home and buying a new CD player for it i found out that in actual fact he'd taken the original Corsa stereo out by cutting the wires.
Now i'm left with a bunch of cut wires hanging out from behind the central dash into the passenger footwell. i've also got a white/clear type plug that i need to reconnect to the wiring. I've established which wire is which on the plug side by using the black connector that connects to the radio.
However, the wiring in need to connect the white/clear plug back to the car is a different colour to the wiring hanging out of the car itself.
within the car i have:
Blue
Blue/Brown
Yellow
Yellow/Brown
Green
Green/Brown
White
White/Brown (Three of these all the same thickness)
Black/White
Blue/Red
Red/Grey
Grey/Green
Red (Two, one thick, one thinner)
Black/Brown
Grey/Brown
Red/Brown
Then on the plug i need to connect to those wires i have wiring for:
All 4 speakers
Ignition Power
Battery Power
Earth.
Which in-car wires are which, and what are the rest there for?

thats a bit sh*t. Your best bet is proberly to go to a scrap yard and cut the missing plug from another car. Solder this to yours, and cover with heat shrinks, good as new.
The wires should all be the same colours, so pairing them up will be easy.

i had this with a 106 i boght, if you have a haynes manual . then it'll tell you exactly which wire's are which so when you get your HU you can chop + solder the new loom, i know this isn't the best way but if like me you be-grudge giving halfrauds £15 for a piece of piss home made loom. then you'll do what i did'
wow just noticed this was from may . oops
