the 1.6 8v i think is around 100bhp but thats standard the 1.4 16v iv been offered has had a 3 way clutch put in the ecu chipped. thinking this will be the best out of the 2 i have 1.4 16v brakes too. which would impress me the most 1.4 16v or 1.6 8v? iv been contenplating which to choose for a while i have been offered them both at the same price.

16v engines need different mounts and ecu and loom etc, 90% of 8v engines can fit into other 8v motors. would stick with 8v, less can go wrong lol

I would think the 8v should be a much easier fit. The only problem you may find is drive shafts, weather your corsa ones would have the right inner cv joints for the gear box.

if u gettin the engine from a scrap car then might aswell take all the mounts the gearbox and any ancilarays already connected to it
if u have the mounts then the 16ver should go straight in after all the engine bay in the 8v is same as the 16v
but yea as mat1.2 said it would be easier to swap for an 8v and id double check the innet CV joints
