Hi there,
My sister has a N-reg corsa sport 1.4 16V. It had a service a few months ago.
My sister says it got a fault. When driving, I noticed, the car judders when at 2000rpm. When driving at 70mph on the motorway the car seems to be over revving than usual to. Usual revs it about 4000rpm, not sure how much the difference in revs is.
I cleaned the spark plugs last weekend.
I found the distributor is a DIS (Distributionless Ignition System) type. I have the worrying feeling it a timing issue, that the timing belt needs to be adjusted, or the DIS is going.
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks
Phill

Re: Corsa sport judering when driving
Have you checked the HT leads running from the Distributer to the plugs? Replace them anyways (they only cost a couple of quid), one could be deteriorating, is your car spluttering or struggling in any way? Your timing doesnt sound like its off and if it is it wouldnt be by much.
To check this, remove the rocker cover and the timing belt cover and rotate the crank shaft to TDC and see how the rest aligns. I dont normally recommend the hynes manual because they do more harm then good but theres an illustrated guide to checking this. Hope this helps

The car went along time ago! Was found that the spark plugs needed a good clean up!
