LIFT UP REVERSE GRINDING

LIFT UP REVERSE GRINDING
I am new on ere n wanted to know if all lift up reverse gearboxes grind when going into reverse, even when gently selecting. i know my clutch is alryt just ad a look at it. So has any1 else got this problem??

not had that problem yet on mine it goes in ok, try changin the gearbox oil is may be thick n black

I'd say adjust the clutch cable!
Does you clutch pedle sit lower than the rest??

possibly ur gear linkages have gone... they cost about 12 quid to replace all the plastic bushings totally worth it... there a bastard to change though

my clutch is raised higher than the rest of my pedals coz im a short arse ill try changin th oil first b4 i spend owt. thanks

wont go into reverse very well? or 1st or second? if so it be a Gear linkage worn... new ones Retails at £55+vat from Vauxhall... and there a bastard to fit... and they ask you if you want the pin as well... you need that too..

no! all u need to do is replace the rubber bushes on the gear linkages.... took me around an hoour u need to take out the batery and

ive just had that problem found that where you adjust ur clutch the cable as twisted and was slightly adjusting itself worth checking urs is ok and just nipping it up a lil hope this helps

Yeah its defo you clutch cable i had the same problem mine was frayed really badly n that was the problem

clutch cable it will be, mine did the same just adjust the cable and tighten it untill u can see difference.

a mechanic told me it was common only on the 3 cylinder (GLS) model, it must use a differnet gearbox and clutch to the 4 cylinder 1.2 version. my girlfriend and i both have gls corsa's and this has happened a few times, the clutch has to be pressed fully into the footwell to avoid grinding.
