Does the engine warning light stay lit when started?

Give more information on the problem. Does this happen when hot/cold? Everytime? Can you rev if with the accelerator?

i have the same car and am getting the same problem. when i put down the accelerator there is a delay between me putting it down and it reving up. its just like a deadspot somewhere. i got told i need a diagnostics done on the car and wen to 3 different places but my car wont let the machine in and i dont fancy goin to a vauxhall main dealership to pay £80 +VAT before they even fix it.

cheers

Do this happen when moving off at junctions/lights or when in natural? Does the engine warning light appear at all?

Oh and don't go to a maindealers to get the diagnostic reader they will just rip you off. Any good equipped garage will be able to do this for alot cheaper than £80.

any idea what his name or anything is mate?

there are no warning lights or anything obvious to hint towards the problem, one mechanic suggested the air flow meter sending the wrong mixture or somethin but means nothin to me lol. it happens when im sittin idling at a set of lights or somethin then go to move off. just completely deadspot unless i start at about 3000 revs before i even lift the clutch a bit. my accelerator is also VERY heavy compared to any other car if thats anything to do with it.

cheers for the help lads, much appreciated

I would change the Air Mass Flow Meter. I did this when my corsa as it was holding off the gas then back on when going up hills but since i changed it the engine warning light was on all the time. Now I chanced every sensor under the bonnet and still no better. Looking like my ECU is goosed.

right boys. Got an update on the car deadspot problem. tried to get diagnostics done but my car wouldnt let 2 machines in for some unknown reason, went to about 5 garages and on the internet and every1 said they think the air flow meter so i unclipped the wire from the air flow meter and problem solved so i decided to buy 1 new for £60. but the thing on and BOOM problem back (with brand new one in) if i unclip it its sweet. Really need help.

Thanks alot boys!
