Yea...well if you pay enough money, you can get an x16xe to push over 200 bhp...company names:
Kent Cams, Piper cams, Janspeed, Wiseco, Nomex and the one that tops them all off...Jenvy!
If you have enough money to pay out...you havent got any problems with hitting 180 with a small block!

Re: 1.4 corsa sport
Ok, well the x14 is virtually the same engine, so the the same mods apply as to the x16 you just wont get as much out.
Simple mods you can do include the obvious - air filter, exhaust (maniold included), i put an x16 inlet onto mine (which i have up for sale atm for £15) which made a big difference higher up the rev range! Meant the engine pulled better over 4k...and waaayyy cheaper than a lexmaul/Diblas.
Then you're onto head mods. This means cams, verniers, possibly things like port and polishing. Cool running thermostat, throttle body (again, an x16 item will make a difference). And also possibly a re-map or 'chip' the ECU, but these mods are best done 1st, then map to suit!
Most complex stage includes strenthening bottom end and buying a set of throttle bodies...or carbs if you want. This then means your engine is capable of taking the extra stresses associated with the extra load thats gonna be on it.
Hope that helps ya bud!

Re: 1.4 corsa sport
well i dont like the c20xe, weighs the front of the car down and ruins handling! I've put a c20seh in mine as its about the same weight as the x16 and there is sooo much room to work in the engine bay!
You may be better off trying to get an x16xe and just upping that. its pretty easy to hit 130 bhp after a few mods...and its not bogging the front down. Plus its reliable!
