I would just like to express my displeasure at the term 'Redtop' which is really getting to me lately.
I just think its f**k stupid to call something a redtop when it does not have a red top. The nissan engines are the true 'Redtops' as they have full red rocker covers! All the...and this is how it should be described...c20xe/XE has is a red spark plug cover. Which can be re-sprayed!!...
Its just been pissing me off more and more lately and i had to publicly rant about it. I just dont see the attraction to the term. i'm glad i am not putting one into mine now, as my project would probably have been binned at the first person to say it to me about the car!

haha see your point mate! so your not gona put a "redtop" sorry c20xe engine lol in your car now?? Duno whether you'll know this but is there any difference between installing a c20xe and c20let engine in a corsa??

i wasnt going to in the 1st place. i've gone for the C20SEH (8v), will run and sound better wit the carbs. 
yea, the xe is the naturally aspirated XE. the LET is the turbo version of the same engine design.
XE - 150bhp
LET - about 220 bhp (thats standard)

I thought the let had 200bhp?? but there you go, you evidently know your stuff so i'll take your word for it mate that it has 220, i'am really considering getting the let but its hard to find a decent one with a decent price though.
By the way i have fitted the manifold and works fine was alittle awkward fittiing the rubber colar underneath but nothing runs 100% smoothly! Cheers mate....looks good being black.

no i wasnt sure...the actual figure is in fact 201BHP (from factory). so i was wrong but there is my corrected figure.
i dont really know too much to be perfectly honest. i know enough about what i am doing and things i've done...but am always on the lookout to learn more. and i learn by doing, so thats why this project has been so beneficial to me this year!...
yea that was a pain for me too!!...but with it all on, you wil notice a difference higher up the power band...and it will pull all the way thru now!
