Hi there folks,
i have a 99 1.2 16v sxi and tonight i took a short journey to the local shops and the first thing i noticed was the hot air coming quite quickly - usually taking 5 mins or so to heat up normally, anyway i shrugged this off as i had been driving 2-3 hours earlier. when i stopped at the shops the engine management light came on and the engine started revving funny - it started almost throttling itself between 1 and 1.3 revvs then as soon as i sunk my boot in it ran normally on idle. the light came on about 3 or 4 times nearly every time i stopped lol - slight panic as it already needs 4 new tyres and 2 cv joints which will come in over £300 all in....
any clues what could be doing this?

Re: engine management light problems
well it would be hard to determine this so your best chances are to get a diagnostist test(cant spell) and have it checkd that way, best not to drive the car at all with engine management on as you have a high chance of doing alot more damage to something that could be so cheap and simple. have a look under the bonnet for your self see if you can see any faults first though!

Re: engine management light problems
look for any loose connectors under the bonnet, clean the throttle body out with intake cleaner, and get some tyres and cv's
