Corsa B Auto ECU problem

Post by Juicedrinker »

Hi everyone, got a bit of a headache with my Corsa 1995 Auto 1.4.

It's been sitting for a few weeks now, been in the garage for two of those with an ECU fault. I've been trying to source an ECU kit with the key and transponder but to no avail, as it's an auto so probably quite hard to get hold of.

Before I decide to scrap,I really don't want to do this, just spent quite a bit on new tyres and an MOT. Is there anyway I could get the ECU programmed or maybe even someone who I could contact to source a kit.

Just to add I did the paperclip test and it showed 84 no signal immobiliser, this I assume is an ECU fault.

Thanks for any help.

it is possible that the transponder is out of phase somehow. The ECU very rarely has problems, and that sounds like the immobiliser is not de-activating. Have you only got one key or have you got spares?? if you have a spare and aint tried it...i reckon give it a go. If not then yea, i would say you will be looking at a new ECU. In which case, you should just scour scrappies. Being an auto that does make it more difficult...but you should find one somewhere.

Good hunting!
