Tinted windows..

Post by sacko200 »

Just wondering if there is a cheap way of tinting your windows? I have a 1995 1.2 corsa twist. Also i was wondering is it illegal to tint windows as ive heard rumours off friends that it might be?

Thanks in advanced,

there is a limit to what you can have done fella.

the rear window can be done and the twoi rear side windows, now with these done bair inmind that 75% light has to enter the vehicle. anything darker than 75% is against the law dude.

there aint really any cheap way to do it.... you can do it your self but its a lot of hard work and to get perfect is hard... best bet is buy a role of it from halfrods or motor world or somewhere and remove the glass to do it, this is the easiet way to do it son.

if not then take it some where to have it done, my mate done his corsa and was charged 220 for the two rears and the rear windscreen... not bad but not good...

choice is yours dude.

I'm window tinter by trade and above is almost correct the limit is actually 70% not 75% but other thn that your correct its a shame about the fronts but unfortunatly its the Law.

You may fancy running the risk with the front doors but a wouldn't go any darker than a 54% film on your front doors which wen is on the car would come in at about 48-45% wen the window is tested any darker and the police would totally rape you, points fines could even have the car taken off you (worst case scenario)
