2.0 redtop corsa any ideas on extra bhp? plz help

im lookin to improve the power on my 2.0 astra gsi redtop engine in my corsa
it has a m-tech power cap,green cotton air filter,exhaust system from powerflow wif ashley back box and decat
need more bhp?
any help is great

the usual

light weight cam light weight tappets lightweight fly wheel short shift f16 gearbox for max acceleration and f20 for speed or somthing cant quite remember and is it the C20xe

Decent set of cams, ported and polished head and inlet. Performance manifold. Remap.

Should do the job for you!

i have a £1000 2 spend!

fair dos...ok, well i can spend you some money...but at the end of the day, look into the gains you will achieve from various other things.

1) Cams. Either kent or Piper, i'd say kent are the better bet tbh, but they're as good as each other generally. I would get a full kit tho, with the lifters and the verniers. That will probs set you back by the best part of £350-400.

2) Remap. As you already have a powercap, that will help with the induction, and you have a decent exhaust, so the engine can breathe okay. Once the cams have been fitted, you will definitely benefit from a re-map session on a Rolling Road. This will make sure your engine is pulling at its best where it should be.

3) Fuel Pressure Regulator. This will make sure that your fuel pressure is at its optimum. Get this put on before your remap session and they can set it up to the necessary levels. Also, make sure you are using optimax...makes a difference when they set it up!

That is really all i can think of at the moment. Obv there is options for the bottom end as well, not to mention the port, polishing and valve seating within the head. If the kit doesn't come with them, then valve springs are worth a thought too!

Routine maintainance is also a good idea. Get megalead HT's, and some decent spark plugs...

all this will help, but like i say...its your car!

yea, but that means taking the engine out the car...which is what i was tryin to avoid...plus you then gotta spend poo loads on new pistons, con-rods and all that!

not just a case of boring it out!
