Why not to buy cheap wheels...

Post by Chrex »

And this...is why you dont buy cheap wheels!!

Image

That WAS, a ripspeed Reflex. It is now in many bits.

That is why it's worth saving that little bit more and buying good wheels!!...

i havent done anything, this is someone elses picture i found. It speaks the truth though.

I put sets of these out on display in work and then stay as far away from them as possible. I have managed to sell 2 sets of 100+ Jets to people after telling them that these wheels are crap. The jets are an extra £100 and worth every penny more! Ripspeed wheels always have been, and probably will always be...crap!

as said above, you get what you pay for!

personally i have always ran OZ, team dynamics, etc which have a good name for being quality built strong wheels! and the team dynamics ones i have owned were fairly lightweight wheels too :D pro race 2's.

erm...well my experience with wolfrace is limited. However, they never appear to have any wheels in stock and they are not as strong as the likes of OZ and Rimstock wheels. Also, they are made in China...and so, they wont be the best quality.

Rimstock make theirs in the West Midlands, and O.Z./Fox are italian. I personally would stay away from wolfrace.

O.Z, Fox, Rimstock, Rota, Blitz...these are all companies that make forged wheels...meaning they are strong, and yet very light.

I have got a set of Pro Race1.2's. :)
