Help regarding steering rack

hi guys, just wondering how hard it is to change a steering rack on a 1998 1.2 16v corsa?

How much am i looking at to have the work done at a garage?????

hey ollie. Its not too hard pal.

Easier to do with the engine out, but just means ya have to go from underneath rather than the top.

Is it PAS or normal??

also have you ever adjusted the torque sensor on the steering cloumn??? Iv found a thread on the net telling you how to do it, and i have taken everything off and i can see the sensor just wondering how to adjust it

ahh...i have no experience wit EPAS. I simply took my power steering off...and put a normal rack on.

sorry bud...cant be of much use here it seems.

A std rack and an EPAS rack are the same.
to change is ok like chris said - easier if engine is out.

get ur lappy t out side and get the webcam on the go and ppeople off here can log in and give you usefull help now that would be usefull having the corsa Gurus pratically there
