is the engine warning light on
as the engine could logged a serious problem and then its reajusted so it doesnt blow up lol

I have the exact same engine. Redline is 6k

mine used to do the same and as soon as it hit 85mph it would not move a mph more

my corsa did 124 ish
and it was standard well had a filter
lol
but the only way i think is take it to vaux and ask them lol
could be cam belt or somthing along those lines
just ask em (Y)
