temp guage gone mad

Post by snyper86 »

Hi Guys. It's been a long time since i've been on here, but i've gone and got another corsa after 2.5 years of driving something a little different.

Just bought my little brothers corsa off him as a cheap run-around after sticking my car into a barrier (grease on the wheels)
The temperature guage shows things like -37 through to -20.

I know it's been cold recently but thats pushing it a bit.

If anyone knows why this has happened and/or how to fix it i'd be very appreciative

Thanks

You referring to the temp display in the centre console?

If so get on ebay or go to scrappys and get a new sensor. Think they are located behind the front bumber.

It is behind. Don't really kno what to check other than if it's giving false readings then replace it.

They don't last forever.

Your best just getting a new one and seeing if it works then trying to find a fault that could possible take forever.

The sensors are not expensive mate.
