Alright guys,
I've got a 1998 S Reg Corsa GLS 973CC.
Will the car have a CAM Belt or a CAM Chain. I've just perchased the car, and i'm wanting to know whether or not it has a CAM belt because it hasn't been serviced regularly and the car has done 81k miles. So i would imagine it needs to be changed if it does indeed have one.
Any help appriciated.
Cheers.

Re: CAM Belt
yeah its a 3 cylinder, so if its a chain it doesn't need replacing right?

Re: CAM Belt
The timing chains can be replaced but they are expected to last the lifetime of the engine.
Engines X10XE and X12XE are chain driven.

Re: CAM Belt
I would just leave it as most times its a waste of time and money. My mate had a Ford Ka thet went to 150k on its original chain.
