Starter motor fails when engine is warm

hey guys,

i currently have a problem with my little corsa. 1.0 on a w reg, when starting the car from cold i have no issues but once the engine is warm, the starter motor doesnt seems to be engaging the flywheel, i can hear the "werring" noise of the starter gear spinning, i just wondered if this maybe something i could fix, rather then replace the starter motor. maybe somthing to do with the leads going to the starter? also im not sure if i can get to the starter motor without lifting the car,
