CD Player

Post by madeinbarmston »

i bought a sony xplod CDX-GT470US stereo from a mate, it went in alright but every time i take the key out of the ignition it loses the pre set radio stations, clock settings, where the cd was when it was switched off, low/mid/high settings etc, i had an after market cd player in before i put this one in and never had any such problems. is there any thing that can be done/ has this happened to anyone before?? thanks

take the head unit out and there is a red and a yellow wire with bullet terminals on the back pull the bullet terminals apart and swap them over and the presets will be saved and with sony units you will get 3 bleeps from the speakers usually and thats a good sign that the wires are round the right way mate.

i took the unit out, there was 2 terminals for the yellow and only one for the red, i switched the yellow ones around but had to leave the red one where it was, this still hasn't worked, any other idea's please

yeh swap the red and yellows over... this also works if you want the cd player to turn on without the ignition on
