didnt the newspaper stick to the parts? cos the paint on the newspaper surrounding them looks caked in paint! u just spray on one thick layer with the can up close or do it in thin layers from a distance? Either way the pics of them finished look good man, a nice clean white finish. Havnt really had time to take pics and upload em to laptop, either way i basically finished taking out all the parts from the dash now and sanded em down ready for tommorow. The steering wheel is being a pain in the ass to get off. im gonna get one my hench mates to try pull it off and if that fails i will have to get a steering wheel puller thing. Which will suk as i cant get the rest of the main dash unit out at the moment. Will probably resort to puttin the new wing, black wheel arch trims and and the new bonnet on tommorow along with what paintin i can do. I went halfords today to get console bulbs and wd40 and more green paint, the bonus thing is the console bulbs were all available in green. lol... wonder how they will look when i finished puttin it all back in later this week.

no they didnt stick-but i have had that happen before.

i do thin layers from a distance, and just slowly build up the layers,i waited about 10mins between each layer-takes ages but worth it in the end :)

yeh i think your interior will be alot nicer than mine with all the effort your puttin in lol...i look forward to seeing it when its finished :)

u goin to pvs show in june?

i got plastic sheeting to spray on and been usin stuff like toilet roll cards as stands to keep em all off the floor as much as possible. helps with hte airflow when dryin....maybe.
i been puttin like 20-25 mins inbetween mins and doin wet'dry sand between every layer. Managed to install the rear 6x9's now....was a complete bitch to cut/break the required holes into the standard parcel shelf...looks sound though...just took ages cos i didnt really have the right tools. Stanley knife broke twice in bout 30 mins and couldnt be bothered to go get new blades!
I look forward to seein it once it finished too :D
Im normally pretty lazy so all this work is killin my body, lol.
Err...wat the PVS show in june? Where is it and u really sure i should take my corsa to a show? I,ve only really done interior. The exterior is near stock basically and it a bit dented since livin in hull. need to get rear panels beaten or poly/fibre filled and sanded then re-painted. Or get new oem body parts off ebay. i dunno. Basically the interior is gonna be spot on...but from the outside it hardly an eye turner yet.
Was gonna wait another year or so before doin any body kits. might get round to doin lights and alloys and stock corsa spoiler by june...wont be lowered by then cos i Wanna get new shocks when i get lowering springs.

to be honest i did bit of a rush job on them bits, will take more time and effort with the rest.

its the perfomance vauxhall show, and its at santa pod.it will be my first time at pvs as well-its on sat 6th n sun 7th june.there is a post about it in general discusiion with pics etc.iv been told that all the requirements to get on the forum stand on the sunday are that it has to be a corsa b lol.so even if the only thing u have on the outside is a spoiler, lights and alloys but on a corsa that is more than enough,it will still be good, and be a good chance too show off ya lovely interior coz people will have a chance to have look around all the cars.my cars gonna be on there, and it really ent anythin special lol-but by the time june comes,it will have decent alloys,be lowered 40mm and maybe some bucket seats, and probz new backbox.also im gonna colour code the rocker cover etc on the engine.

i was lucky-my 6x9s were already installed-and they look nice i think,u can see em in my project log.

yeah there are loads of leatherette reclining bucket seats on ebay that are pretty good...the problem is that reclining buckets arent as small, light or comfy as proper buckets. And as i need the rear seats im gonna have to get either sparco quick release 4 point harness or make some kind of catch that is quick release at bolts behind rear seats so they can still have access. shame i dont have a car i can just devote to modifyin. Could just rip the entire insides out and start from scratch with custom firbeglass MDF dash and stuff. Would need to spend like a good month or two to make a decent job of it though.

i hate electrics and theres alot of wires there lol.

fair play for taking all that on though.

how much did u pay for it when you got it?

i paid £380 for mine, with the spoiler,6x9s,footwell led's,and all the wiring for sub n amp in boot, centre console painted,cd player, exhaust, blue xenon hedlamp conversion, and induction kit...BARGAIN lol..o ye and its taxed til end of feb n mot til aug.

im 19,and still dont have my license-will be doing my test anytime now...would of been by now but havnt needed to as lived in city..but now i live in the sitty countryside i cant get anywhere...and its annoying coz everything gets covered in mud :(

i paid £800 for it from an old lady lol...had done less than 20,000. My grandads wife, she my step grandma i guess. Had zero mods when i got it. I had to spend money on bits and bobs and a garage inspection when i got it. To be fair i've probably put out well in excess of £2500 -£3000 on this corsa lol....cos ive had to replace the bonnet twice, the wing once, rear light once, front passenger headlight twice, tryes, mots, tax, both bumpers....and the list goes on. Everytime it been ready to have sumin done i broke it lol! but it time to spend money creatively on it...make it look more respectable.
The wiring was a little daunting to be honest but it will remeber where they all went, that and ive used maskin tape to label them all :meh: hard bit will be to get em all neatly tucked away when it all goes back in!
