Re: best oil to use for 1.6 16v?
I'm currently debating what oil to use on my x16xe with 63K on the clock.
I can't make up my nime weather to use Castrol GTX magnatec 10w40(semi synthetic) or Castrol Edge 0w30(fully synthetic)
Some people say that fully synthetic isnt good to use unless the engine is quite new (eg vaux Z gen. engines) as it leaves the compression lower and causes oil leaks at seals etc and get passed the piston rings easier!!

You should only use fuly synthetic if the engine is new (had a full reuild) or you going to race the car otherwise use semi mate
