can use a belt sander with like 1000 gritpaper or by hand with like 600-800gritpaper to remove the original/currnent paint. then clean with a dust cloth and and some form of alcohol based cleaning spirit. E.g. white methelated sprit. let it dry then do the first layer of primer.......and u know the rest.

Ahhhh cheers mate ... i dont think i'll have a problem stripping them of their paint.......but i was just wondering ..... what is it when it bubbles up ... i assume this is just paint related and doesn't harm the wheel itself?...if i get all the paint off willi just be left with a factory wheel in prior to paint condition (wheels are in mega good nick apart from paint)?? i was just wondering coz i don't wana spend a load on getting sum1 else to do it !!!!!
also .. i have a smoke grey corsa .. what colour do u rekon i should do ma wheels?? ..... black , silver or white or grey !!!??????

I love a mix between euro and factory look ..such like ...i have a smooth tailgate and im gna slam it more aswell(euro) but i also love having vauxhall things like cav wheels !!! .... im also a fan of motorsport so im thinking of doing my cav wheels white .....then maybe a chequered roof for more euro look lol !!!!! .. i'm allowed to use the workshop at my work for the re-furb so it'll be heated for better painting conditions and its much better than working in my garage!!!!..i have a list of things i need:
1)white spirit/meths(home or work)
2) davids iso filler stuff (halfords)
3)sand and grit paper /wet and dry (halfords)
4)primer(halfords)
5) vauxhall glacier white paint(halfords) (but may change mind to black or silver yet)
6)clear laquer (halfords)
7)all tools such as grinder and wire brush (work & home)
