Main Beam flasher not working

Main Beam flasher not working

Hi everybody new to this forum,ive got a 3dr montana with main beam flasher not working when you need to flash,will work if pushed forwards when lights are on also when indicating left or right flasher comes on automatically this is getting to be a pain got the MOT coming up soon so need to rectify.

Yes mate ive got exactly the same problem i was driving on the A14 about a week ago using my main beam when all of a sudden it just cut out. like yours it works by pushing it forwards (when lights are on) but not pulling back as single flash really annoying puttin my hand up to thank people lol!!! i checked all my fuses and wiring but everything seems fine, really dont know what it could be. please help people!...

It could be the stalk, i had a similar problem, pulling stalk back wouldn't do anything, it would stay on if pushed forwards but would also sometimes come on on its own

yer im gonna take a look down the scrap yard soon and c if theyve got one as ive seen a corsa in there hopefully that should sort it.

And i thought i was the only one asked the lads from the motor club who run corsa,s and they have never had a problem,tried the a 2nd hand stork that cured the problem of coming on, on its own but no single flash so may have to buy a new one from FrF £ 43 a throw unless anybody got any other suggestions,no scrap yards left around here all closed down :(

Mine is the same and is down to the stalk itself. It works normally on High beam (pushing forward) but not on a single flash (pulling back). Also MOT side of things it only has to work as High beam (pushing forward) so you'll be alright there.

same prob, kept flashin all the time, was faulty stalk, cost me £60 supplied and fitted

Thanks everybody for replys gone and bought one, new off ebay for £9+p+P ,shall fit myself as they are pretty easy. :thumbs:
