rear axle
hi i'm new to this site and need some info/help i have a red corsa 1.6 16v sport had it for bout a year, this is my third corsa but first one with the following problem... i thought the car was fine but when i lowered the car 60mm i noticed that the o/s/r (driver) wheel is closer to inner arch than the n/s/r (passenger). can anyone please tell me if this problem is due to the axle or the chassis where the rear axle is bolted on?? thanks for any help given.

Re: rear axle
the springs that were used for lowering have settled uneven after wearing them in, Should be able adjust the springs or sumin so that the car sits level again. If you dont know how to do it just take it in to a local garage, they wont charge u much probs.

Re: rear axle
i checked the springs seats on the axle and chassis and checked the springs aswell recenty when i put my cav gsi wheels on, my brother-in law had the exact same problem withe his old corsa c, he now has the same car lowered the same ammount and doesn't have this problem, the only thing i can think of is a faulty chassis/ axle, as when i had my first car (corsa 1.4 8v sri) i was driving down a back road was going round a corner too fast, braked and my car skidded across the road and hit the curb side-on the result was a knackered font suspension system, rear stub-axle and the rear axle was shunted about 1 - 2 inches to the right, thanks for the advice jar_jar89 i checked again, moved the springs and settled the car back down after i read your post, but there was no change. if any one could please help id be very happy, thanks

Re: rear axle
Done the same in a nove bout 6 years ago fooking abut in the snow. Bent the stub axle, fooked the wheel bearing, tyre, rim and got a touch of whiplash. Whats the axle beam bushs like?? get a large ish pry bar and see if there any excess movement in them.
