how do i find colour code?

hi there,
my car was resprayed a metallic green before i bought it. i need a minor bumper repair now and i dont know the colour code! i tried to contact the guy i bought it from but i cant get in touch. i know where the colour code is normally written on a car but this wouldnt apply if the car has been resprayed would it? please help me as max power are coming to crail on sunday!!

take a small flake of the paint to MFI, B&Q or somewhere that do custom paint matches Like DULUX paint matching. They have some machine that reads the paint i think so they can give a colour code that u need to match the one u dont know. Not sure if they will do this for u if u dont at least buy a bit though....but it always an option.

Local bodyshop should be able to tell. Most larger shops have a huge auto mixing machine which is on a data base from all manufacters, so should be able to marry up the paint code/colour you need.
