tbh... i'd only declare some mods...

im not gonna declare alloys or filter panel.. cus i'll just clame i didnt know they werent stock.

Most insurance companies won't bother adding anything to insurance if you mention alloys. (espec if got locking wheel nuts!) I've declared 2.0ltr calibra front brakes (altho not yet fitted!) They said it won't effect insurance as it doesn't effect the speed etc!! Apparently its more a cosmetic mod!!??

im not driving yet but for my 1.2 corsa its gona be £1500 fully comp with churchill n thats me on my own.
is that good or not?

Just to add...

Passed my test December 2007, clean licence, nearliy 19 and paying £151/month for a 1.0 Corsa GLS.
And thats me been a side driver. Was even higher if I was to be the policey holder.

With Adrian Flux.

I changed to them from Liverpool Victoria as they weren't going to let me mod my car. Adrian Flux gave me insurance with all mods declared and was something like £80 cheaper to! lol

thats alot...iv been given a quote from swinton of £133 a month on my own policy with no named drivers.im payin £122 a month now on provisional with a named driver.

What's the deal with insurance groups because i'm fed up with my 1 litre now i want a 1.4 or something and i know thats a higher group insurance. Is this possible without paying a bomb?:

the only reason your insurance is high is because your young
soon as you get to about 24/25 ul find it will cost u next to nothing

few tips on keeping ur insurnace low, go for as high excess as you can after all there isnt much you can do to a corsa damage wise that will cost you more than say £300ish to fix so if u did ever crash it dont bother telling your insurance just fix it yourself.
tell em you wont do more than 7000k or less a year
go for TPFT not fully comp, sort of pointless being fully comp as if u smash it it would be more cost effective to write your car off and buy a new one than repair it thru insurance, so you would be paying for nothing.
obviosly tell em u keep it a garage or a private drive. dont get any speeding fines! make sure it has an alarm all the usual stuff really.

my FR costs me £600 declaring its been modified too fully comp
that said i am 25 lol
