Hi, having problems with my wife's corsa since battery ran flat.
Radio asking for code but wouldn't let you enter it as there was no switched live feed to radio.(perm feed ok)
Traced this to missing 12v ignition feed to radio (on pin 3 of multiconnector at back of radio). This seems to be fed directly from a sole red wire on the ignition switch (accessory wire), however no feed is present.
Am I right in thinking this wire should be live with ignition on?
If so then I need a new ignition switch.....Anyone else had this problem.-Is there some issue with part of the lock barrel breaking and not operating the switch properly ?
Everything else electrical on the car works fine.....strange how this one feed isn't present.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Steven

Np problem, I'll just tap the acc lead into a pre-existing 12 ignition supply.Problem will be resolved for the price of a scotchlock connector.
Cheers all......

yeah the ignition does have a problem with wearing out. The ignition live feed is switched on by a plastic mechanism thats prone to wearing out over time and in my case breaking completly. Had to get a new barrel and got a vauxhall blank cut to fit it and just put the immobiliser chip from the original key into the new one.
