Black and Green Corsa Project

Post by jar_jar89 »

I've been working on this for just about a month or so now....its only interior stuff at the moment, i will move onto exterior stuff like coilovers, alloys, new undented body panels etc later on in the project.

Here my corsa;

Here the inside after stripping out the dash

And some parts before and after being sanded and painted

New parcel shelf 6x9's

Parts back in after being painted and new DVD headunit

Leather rear seat covers and sprayed the rear parcel shelf in black fabric paint
Image

Front seat leather covers and door cards sprayed light black instead of grey. I've had leather seat covers for a while and do intend on getting green and black leather reclining buckets.

I've changed the front door speakers to new kenwoods to match the rear speakers but havent taken pics of them. Also have a kenwood KAC-8408 amp in the boot but i've blown the splx sub so gotta get a new kenwood one at some point.

Here the custom tweeter mounts i made in the A-pillars. To be honest they look poo and seriously need redoin, just put em in for the sound enhancement. Luckily a guy ova the road is breakin his corsa so i can have a new set of pillars to work with. Basically i've learnt im crap with fibreglass and fibreputty and will have to get them stupid ebay gauge pods or sumin similar so they have a good finish...then will just firbeglass em onto the pillars which shouldnt prove to be to much of a challenge.
But here they are, u get the general idea.

nearly forgot to mention i've done the platic lock pins in black and green instead of black and red.
Got a momo millenium steering wheel but need to get a boss kit to fit it. not got pics of it but can google em if u dont know what it looks like.

Still have B and C pillars to do, rear door cards, roof lining and associated parts etc, bucket seats, floor carpet and green/black mats; cos i am completely aware at how filthy the carpet is, they deffo need vacuming and washing. And need to get some new pedals, probably some momo ones to match the steering wheel.

yeah i use fabric spray dye in midnight black. Worked a treat on the grey parcel shelf but those swirls are machine fabricated into the door cards. i.e. they dont take dyes very well. U can notice the colour difference loads though. Plus i kinda like the way it looks...like everything stock vauxhall parts pretty much except for Audio /ICE. See how desirable i can make it at as low a cost as possible! lol. Mind 3 can of that fabric paint cost £35...and all the other paints, primers, laqueres, cleaners, fibreglass etc....well at least i can keep costs down a bit on the interior. poo gonna hit the fan when it time for external/engine mods, will break/make me. I wanna have basic GSI body kit and spoiler maybe m3 mirrors or sumin similar and the whole car done in modena signal green, with black alloys.

i actually well like the bottom plastic of the doorcards black with the green speakers-i was gonna jus do all mine white..but changed my mind..gonna do same as u but with the speaker bit white insted of green.i like the idea of the tweeters in the a-pillars.cant see much difference in the fabric tho-slightly darker but thats it.i well liek the seat covers, but i want some decent either blak n white or black n blue ones for mine but dont want the really cheap tacky ones-and then eventually some buckets.

im gonna get blak n white handbrake n gearstik gaiters as well eventually.

yeah ive also started on doin stuff on the roof. taken bits down and sanded them and primered the sunvisors...gonna do more tomorrow if i feel up to it. Need to get some black fabric spray really so i can get the roof lining done while im doin these bits...it basically fallin down at the front...just need to take off the B and C pillars and it comin off easy as....but waitin on haynes manual to arive so i can figure out how to take these bits off. The seat belt bits on the car walls are confusing me, dont get how u menna take em off without breakin em lol. And while they off i might aswell re-upholster them in leather too.

u know its funny u would say that cos i really was debating on weather or not to do that....but i decided against it cos the car gets a little damp inside on the windscreens sometimes. And i can only imagine that it would settle on the leather on the roof and cause it to condense on the leather an drip on me in the mornings :o so it just gonna be the same foor lining but in black
