wanting to know why my corsa idles irratically for a minute or two after i start it? could it be the idle control valve, it is a 1.4 16v sport!

my old 1l 12v used to do this. never could be arsed getting it sorted cos wasnt a big problem but i'm guessing it was cos my battery was so screwed. a result of blasting bass with no power cap
