When my back window heater is on AND when at low revs (when the engine power /alternator charge is low)
I hear a squeeling from the engine, as if the fan belt was slipping, only it's not the fan belt, with these symptons I am assuming it is 95% most likely the alternator or alternator bearing that is on it's way out.
Are there any temporary fixes or am I going to live with this embarassment until next payday?
Cheers guys, you're a great help. Better than Haynes;)

Re: Alternator problem
he said he thought it wasnt slippin dan lol!
Maybe just vaseline /oil the bearing to help stop them squeeling...dont know if it will even work but i imagine it might help.
