Fitting central locking

Central locking fitting is fairly easy providing you have lots of patience. Most of the work is the wiring which takes ages to push it through the gators in each door and through the car.

Part of the work is the mechanism actually in the door and this is where I get my problem. I can't get to it because the trim is being held on by the window winder. There are no screws or springs you can access to get the winder off.

Anyone already gone through this problem, who can tell me the trick?

push the door panel in (it wont move much) then look between the winder and the little colar and you should see a clip you can get it out with a terminal screw driver but be carefull because it can easily go ping and flert off never to be found again you can buy a tool from halfords to get them out to.

does anyone no how to wire up a remote centrol locking kit?

YES! I just havn't got the time to fit it on mine.

Buy a kit which will contain solenoids and little poles
Start with the drivers door which should have 5 wires coming out of it
Put the pole through the solenoid
Use the little clamps in the kit that will go on to the door locking pole in the door.
Secure the solenoid to the door.

Run the cables from inside the car through the door gator and plug in. Their colour coded
Repeat this with all the other doors wiring them FROM the drivers door.

My alarm has a positive and a negative coming out of it. Wiring this in means that whenever the car is alarmed the doors locked. Job done.
