First thing, air filter, then exhaust, you could possibly get it MOT-ed then de-cat it for 12 months but bare in mind that this is illegal for road use.
Then all you can do really is get forged pistons and such. Remap after this, if you can afford it, not that it'll make much difference,
You ain't gonna get much out of a 1.2 no matter what you do though.

Re: corsa 1.2 not fast enough lol
ok mate cheers
i have a k and n filter on it and putin an exhaust on 2moz its a single point injection and it very poor lol. my nova 1.2 carbd 4 speed would kill 106 quicksilvers etc but this wouldn't pull my socks off lol
im thinking about having a my spare 1.2 head fully flow and have a lump taken off it to raise compression do u think this will make any diffrence?

the de-cat is a good idea. also why not rip out all the back seats, take out the spare wheel etc? if you want a difference in a 1.2, weight loss is the way to go!

ye i agree-best way to make 1.2 quiker is strip it...decent filter and exhaust(decat and backbox) will make a smalle amount of difference but nt loads.i didnt even know they did a 4 speed 1.2 corsa :S lol..my 1.2 is 5speed and is pretty nippy for wot it is.

Re: corsa 1.2 not fast enough lol
ahh the old 4 speed e-drives
sorry buddy but they are pretty gutless with 45bhp
always bear in mind corsa's arnt sports cars they wer cheap economical run abouts and not designed for power!
best bet is start with a good service
Sparkplugs, HT Leads, possibly a new battery
Air Filter or get an induction
Fuel Filter
Engine oil, Filter
give the engine coolant a good flush clean and add new coolant
add some redex to your fuel to give the injectors a good clean,
will certanly help perfomance and its a good place to start.
then if you want to go more than that go for a full exhuast system with a sports cat (dont just de-cat bad for MOT time)
get it lowerd (on struts and springs) and on lower profile tyres, maybe fit some ARBs wont really increase perfomance but will improve handling alot, maybe a strut brace to stiffen the front up too (corsa's are really floppy standard)
then to get that bit more edge, remove all un-nessasary weight backseats weigh a ton, just removing them you should really feel the diffrence.
