Arden Blue Corsa Sting

Post by inliner_04 »

I havent done any proper modifications to my car other than ice stuff (apart from a new gear knob lol).
I built a new false floor last night for my boot and screwed down my amp and subs to it so they no longer slide around. This was literally the only place my amp would fit. It was too big to go on the back of the seats, didnt fit on top of the sub box because it hit my 6x9's and i couldnt put it on the back of the sub box because it meant that the subs were too close to the edge of the boot.

jbl gto937 100wrms
Pioneer Deh P6000ub
Kicker Impulse iX504D 4x40wrms @4ohms + 1x290wrms @2ohms

I still need to carpet it, but i was quite happy with the way it turned out. It meant i could wire tuck the majority of my install now anyway :D
Much neater!

The wires were there from my previous amp, which was 3000w and the wiring kit came with the amp. Also the shorter the ground cable the better: decreases noise. Is your amp running a sub or full range speakers? If its a sub then you wouldnt be able to hear noise anyyway.

lol...was a typo...was menna say live feed. I grounded to a point by the rear lights...should really do it to rear bench when i got time lol.
My amp is powerin a set of 6x9 and my sub. Set sub on LPF on channel B. 6x9 on channel A on full range. It just looks like in the pic that ur live feed is connected to both the positive and negative terminals, but i think it just looks that way cos of the pic angle now i look harder! Was just gandering cos im lookin at puttin in another amp, sub, 6x9's and tweeters. Will need to uprate my live feed, get a cap and distribution block aswell i think. Maybe put a second battery in aswell, but not sure that a good idea cos will make the alternator run like crazy. so maybe upgrade that aswell?

oh lol i understand now, nah its just the angle. Its only connected to the +ve terminal.
I thought you were asking why i had used 4 guage wire, and saying that you wired up your +ve and gnd to the batttery lol
