hello to all,

i realy need some help with my corsa gsi red top. i live in durham. any one near who could help with so gear selecting problems. please please help

what linkage has it got on it...is it a bodge?

it may well just need the linkage resetting...

i sort of had this prob yestaday in mine i was driving along then i stoped at the round about an my linkage slip't and couldent get 2nd gaer the fruit hadnt tighted it right up ect,maybe it just wants taking off and lining up mate.

f20 gearbox's sumtimes have a tendancy to chuck it into 2 gears at the same time which u need to get unjammed. also the gear lingake is a problem because they have to be modified, if u bodge it it will be either half calibra/astra and half corsa and they are welded together, this can cause the bushes to f**k up quicker. I had this done on my car just the other week. u can buy a new linkage for lmf vauxhall for £62 + vat and also u can buy nylon bushes for a tenner!!!mine used to go into 4th everytime i went into second.

yeah mate thats exacally what mine was doing but i checked the linkage and it had slipt but i think ill look into getting these as it would save time an money in the long run,good bit of info there mate thanks 8)

How are you setting the linkage up? By guess work or by locking it properly?
