you never EVER use your emergency jack for that kind of stuff mate, its only their for an emergency wheel change, and if your doing work, or ever need to get under your car, you should always have a backup jack incase one fails.

Also put the wheels that are off the car, just under the car so if anybody is working under there it does not crush you, like a pancake. It also makes sure your car's tonne or so weight doesn't fall onto your calipers, should the jack fail.stony2002 wrote:you never EVER use your emergency jack for that kind of stuff mate, its only their for an emergency wheel change, and if your doing work, or ever need to get under your car, you should always have a backup jack incase one fails.

I would say the same thing.
I always put the spare tyre under next to the jack just in case it was to fail.
Therefor not damaging your car and yourself

yea, i dont even carry that jack kit in the car! they are bollocks. You wanna be getting a trolley jack from halfords for about £23, and using that. Ideally use axle stands but i have jacked up a car and worked on it with the trolley jack holding it. Well worth the money, and will last you bloody ages!
Just dont even use the poo jack for what its designed for. Get a scissor jack to put in the car for emergencies.
