Just a little update, thought I'd show you guys my calibra front seats, the rears are a little more tricky to do than the front...so not done them yet.

I've also fitted a carbon fibre air filter which I'm not going to post pics of because of it's magnificent bodgeness with gaffa tape to ensure air-tight feed.

how easy do them calibra seats go in? is it just a case of swapping over the subframes?

The way I did it wasn't easy for me.

I took out the complete chair including subframe using the torx bolts that secure the subframe to the chassis.
Brought into my house to work on, took off the subframe from my corsa chair, put the corsa subframe on the calibra leather seat then put back in the car.

Totally ruined a torx bolt in the process, going to nick one from the scrap when I can but lost my torx keys. :(

Please remember: If you ever try to remove a seat, make sure the pre-tensioner clip is in the safety position.

Just seen ya project log. Looking nice.

Yeah, they're fairly simple then, I guess. The rear's are difficult.

Mine cost £70, it was basically the FULL interior of a calibra, rear trims, front trims, handles, seats all round.
but you can get them for much less.

It just says to in the Haynes, apparently it's some extra safety precaution and if you try to move the seat without putting it in the safety position it triggers the device, rendering it useless.

You just take the red clip and push it in the hole and clip it back on the small hooks when you're done.

lol...i've had a look in the bible now aswell. how u know if it gone off? cos i know i've crashed the car once at 70 and my brother used to try to grab air off railway crossings and it had some pretty hard landings in its time (but chassis is completely fine!), so the tensioners had their fair share of impacts, or is it that if u take out he seats without puttin the clip on they brake and cant be used agian? Is it legal requirement to have em in? cos u dont get them on harnesses do ya?

To be honest mate, I have absolutely no idea, when I was changing my seats it was very last minute I discovered I had to do it.

Harnesses are safe enough. lol
