Decided to strip down the bolster which goes between the front seats, and has all the switches for the windows, etc... Was mainly to replace some tatty battered stuff which the police abused...
Found wiring for the heated seat controls for the rear
Found wiring for rear electric windows
The handbrake switch has some weird extra wiring disappearing somewhere behind the dashboard
The wiring for the Airbags has also been modified (might explain the light on the dash)
Also while investigating behind the passenger kickpanel as sorting out some loose bits, I found 3 extra plugs (2 with 6 pins, 1 with 8 pins)... No idea what the hell these are for! But they are not standard Omega wiring...
Also when I had the speedo out to replace some bulbs, there was also extra wiring behind the cowling around the steering wheel, again, not plugged into anything...
This car is proving to be an interesting little beast to work on...
I found some 'interesting' wiring in the Estate today...

All the above comments are deemed an opinion, and in most cases

Paul...ex-police. Its just the wiring for all their shindigs. I'd either tape and tidy or trace and snip.
You wont need it anyways.
