Re: 60mm springs on 1.0
Depends on the wheels you have, aswell as any bodywork modifications.
I ran -75/-60 on the GSi chrex now has with standard GSi alloys. I needed 10mm spacers for the front wheels purely to give clearance for the wheels from the coilovers, but other than that it was fine.

All the above comments are deemed an opinion, and in most cases

i have 15" alloys but the offset isnt good lol...they stick out the body about half an inch to an inch! loool so i want springs that lower it about an inch n half above the wheels

if your wheels stick out i would get that sorted, its ilegal for the wheels to stick out from under the arches,
strange an MOT test would normaly pick that up, unless you havnt had it tested since you fitted your wheels.
you can ether fit smaller narrower wheels or widen the arches out, ether way they wheels cant pertrude out of the arches, might look good but sorry its highly ilegal

Re: 60mm springs on 1.0
I always though it was but there again there are 2 VW Caddys (the ancient pickups) cruizin around Stafford whith massive over wide wheels on - like they stick out a gd inch or 2 and they both have been on the road for a good few years and taking MOTs. Unless they swap the wheels over for the test then i think they are legal. Its best off to check the a local MOT garage though - just ask 'would you pass this on the MOT?' if they say yes then dont worry about it but if they say no get it sorted. If it will pass there aint much point in spending loads getting it sorted
