Today i installed my new (2nd hand) sub!

took out all the trims etc... ran all the cables....

12v down the right hand side....

rca and remote down the left...

fitted the earth cable...

plugged it all in and f**k all happened. disappointment and a half...

so i checked all the connections... fuses.. still nothing. :'(

hmmmm...it connected to the battery properly? and are all the wires in the correct place on the sub n amp?

yeh its connected to the battery properly......

its a sub with a built in amp...
so yeh its all connected properly as far as i know..

i wasnt certain the remote was correct so i tried putting it to the 12v but still nothing...

just check the connections and the wires see if there are any kinks or damage to installtion also change fuses if still nwt then its f**k m8

but im going to meet the lad i got it off.. he's gonna give it a once over...

yeh if it dont work then get ya money bak bud..then just leave the wires in ready for wen u get a workin one.

You should have run the remote lead on the same side as the 12v. It's a power cable, not a signal cable therefore has an electrical field and could mean interference or noise. but that wont be what is causing it not to work. is there an option on your HU to turn the sub on or off? check that, and check silly things like all the conections, gain is turned up etc.

yay i fixed it

earth wasnt crimped properly!

fixed it now though makes lots of noise
