top speed 70mph :S:S:S:S

just bin out tday . and tried put me foot down. and could onli get 70 out of it , i got a 1.2 sxi with pipercross air filter and backbox so im sure this cnt be right. anyone got any ideas whats wrong ?????

well 70mph is the max speed limit so why would you want to go faster.......
i assume you mean on a private road,
exactly how long was the road wer you going up hill did you have a car full of people have you got half a ton of speakers in the boot,
weight is a serious factor for accelration and speed

yer it was on a deserted road and flat and about mile long. onli got 6x9's . but thing is ive had atleast 95mph out of it. jus feels restricted like sumats stoppin it if u get me. oo yer and was onli me in car

how high will it rev in netral, can u hit the limiter?

well its weird it goes quickly up2 4000 sticks for abit and then can go up2 red . its cookoooo im tellin ya

couple of things, firstly check the oil level, seems alot of people have a simmlar issue with their cars if there is low oil.
altho check that your throttle cable isnt streched, if it is you will notise slow accelration and not being able to rev it up.

open the bonnet and try pulling open the throttle see if it revs any better if it does its probably just the throttle cable

might be worth wile getting a diagnostic done ether try a paperclip test or get it to a mechanic to check it out

hey apart from being very ugly, micras can be nippy
best thing about em is they rev for ever!

but yea seriosly have a good look check the oil level first

Not something to shout about but i've had 125 ish out of mine downhill

It's wierd tough because sometimes it'll speed up reyt quick then other times it'll take awhile

sounds very naughty i hope u was on a private road ! lol hopefully gunna get everythinksorted on me car this weekend . bin bit hard past few day as i work as a nightporter and in bed most of day. anyone got a pipercross oilfilter on there car was thinkin of gettin one?

sounds like an electrical problem it could be ur throttle body which if i am right is controlled by the electrics m8
