i know theres loads of posts on drilling airboxes..but has anyone got a pic of the bit i need to remove from it to derestrict/debaffle it? iv got an induction kit on..but still have my standard airbox..so out of boredem i wanna drill it n derestrict it to see if i notice the difference lol

just slap the airbox back on with your induction mounted inside an leave out all the crap from the wheelarch and do a cold air feed from your grill or bumper to the airbox 8)

zep that sounds like a sweet plan lol... take like the front and wing side off the box... then its like insulated!

wicked lol.

i carnt mate cos i dont have one :lol: sorry mate! what i mean is erm place your air box back under bonnet just the box! but mount your induction (air filter) inside the box then just run a cold air feed into the airbox then its inclosed with a direct cold air feed from your front bumper to your airbox, im sure sumone has a pic they could use to show you 8)

Basicly just remove the piping inside the airbox

not too dificult to remove fairly straight forwad
reccomend a new pannel filter aswell go for a green cotton one :)

to b honest il probz just keep my induction kit in the end..but wanna try z3ps idea...thanks for the pics tho mate.yeh if i do decide to keep the drilled airbox then il get green cotton one.

go for it should sound nice be nice and echo'y in the airbox
and should work well as the box will be protecting the filter from the hot air in the engine bay
plus ur gettin the cold feed from the original piping

well you can buy that sort of pipe from most car spares shops, halfrauds included
should only be a couple of quid :)

yea lol make sure its clean first hooverpipes get dusty,
and make sure its away from hot engine components as if its like my hoover and is plastic it will melt...
