Personally no,

I have 2x10" subs and despite extra work the bodywork starts to rattle after a while. Why don't you spend more money on the rest of the stuff and less on subs?

I know it will make less boom noises but it would make the sound quality alot better then just bass

Subs in parcel shelves rarely work anyway. For a sub to give out a good sound you need a carefully calculated amount of sealed air around it (or sealed with a tuned port), hence boxes. Free air subs (parcel shelf) move all the air in the boot, which is too much for them to handle and they sound crap

i done it and it was amazing have a look at my project logs i had speakers with good sound quality and had an amazing sound system which was louder than a nyt club!! lol but eventually took it out coz it was increasing my 0 - 60 time!! lol
