Rear discs using Astra G Set-up

Post by AMQR »

Hi all, I have be thinking of putting rear discs on my sport.

I was think of using a mk4 astra set up with 240x10mm (should fit nicely behind the sport alloys) 4 stud discs and lucas or bocsh calipers and LMF do a conversion kit.

Has anyone else ever did this or i'm I mad. Would it weigh alot more and just not be worth it (performance wise that is) :?

All comments welcome.

wouldnt really make a diffrence might stop a little quicker, but think about if if it needed rear discs it would have had em standed.
apart from looking better it wont really help sadly.

id reccoemnd doin it if u put in a bigger engine but if not its just a waste you wont notise
90% of the braking is done by the front wheels if u want it to stop quicker id upgrade the front ones first.

im converting mine to rear discs im using mk3 astra gsi rear beam  but like octane says theres no need on a small engine just make it will just look abit better, but on the other hand it would be a good basis for a 2ltr conversion at some point
