corsa sport 1.4

hi, im new & i have a corsa sport 1.4 16v 1998 model and ive had it ust over a week, and when i turn the iginiton the revs fluctuate up and down, and when i actually put it into gear to go it hesitiates for power!

i thought it might be the mass air flow meter but after some research to it my corsa doesnt have one????!?

any ideas on what might be wrong with it ?

could be the idal control valve

vacuum leak on fuel injection/throttle body.
worn,or faulty spark plugs.
timing belt
fuel injection fault
take you pick

your car does have a maf btw
and sounds like the age old idle controle valve

clean if no better replace it

but this morning it wouldnt start....i got it to start eventually

could the spark plugs really cause all these problems?

where would i find the idle control valve?

and how much is an average price to replace it?
