ok, i purchased a mfd from my local scrap yard, after taking most of the dash apart i found the wiring plug and conected it all up
now the problem i have is the mfd will only come on when the headlights are on and doesn't hold memory, id like to know if there is a way to get it to stay on without having to turn the lights on
thanks in advance

Re: problems fitting mfd
If you want constant power just take a source directaly from the battery, if you radio turns on when the ignation isnt on then you could take it from that mybe ?.

Re: problems fitting mfd
problem sorted
turns out the conector on the back of the mfd was faulty so after a quick prod with a screwdriver and a blob of solder its now working as it should
thanks for the advice guys
