well on a 1.2 8v chrex mine did get a bit louder wen decated and ur correct about the revs bud but mine defo did get lounder with de cat and no mid section and the de cat was done last but tha was with 2.5 pipe lol was way to loud got 30 buck tickets every week lol excesive noise lol tisk tisk lol hence y am not doing it again lol

Ah! thats why it was louder. having no centre box makes a massive difference. You take that out and leave just a standard or 2 box system backbox on it, then you will be almost doubling the sound output. Unless it is a system that is designed as a single box, that will make a huge difference! thats where the extra noise came from on yours then. The cat was possibly resonating some sound, but there is no sound deadening material, so it cannot absorb and so deaden sound in the mannor a box does.

what u mean chrex bud a cat has no baffels to obsorbe noise like a center/bak box does prob didnt help that it was a twin powerflow with no baffels to :lol: he he wasent me badger :P

bin kinda busy today..got a white sunstrip fitted-gonna put sparco decal in middle of it..got few more bits of the interior painted..and tomorrow(weather permitting) im gonna colour code my door handles and black lock surround on the boot.also gonna give it a well overdue clean lol.

will post some pics up as soon as i can fix my stupid peice of f**ckin sh*t mobile lol
