it really take that long to fix ur laptop m8?? i've had a mate spill a pint of water over mine and it power cut out on me. i took it apart, dried it out and had in running in less than 24hrs again!

had to send it off coz the screen was nackerd...then they changed the hard drive..so had to try and get the drivers from somewhere to connect it back to the wireless router...then had to get all the correct router settings etc...could of been done alot quicker but just dragged on lol.

lol...ok. well it really pretty easy to just put a new screen on u know. they noramlly just held on by 3 screws at each hinge at most then 2 wires that clip onto the mobo! admitidaly u need to open the laptop to get access to the wires but it all just a bunch of screws.

it wernt the screen that was broke..problem with the software or sumin which made the bottom 3rd of the screen all fuzzy :S |lol

Anyhoo my back light is broken on my screen no-one will touch it because ita vaio

Sony want £125 pound to do it then it could cost more

lol...just buy a new screen for it and swap it ova. easy job to do. screen only cost £50-£60 depending on the size. or take the back plastic bezel off and use a lamp behind it to make it bright.
