CAMBELT
Hi there new to this forum and just wondering can someone help me. I am just in the middle of changing the cambelt on a 1.2 8v 1994 corsa but when tensioning the belt the tensinor indicator arm is not moving round as it sould. Thanks

what do u mean by "it not moving as it should"? u mean it not rotating anymore or that it juddering or what? maybe the tension is to high/low or alternatively have u lined up the timing arrow points correctly?

Have got timiming spot on but when I go to tension the belt using the water pump wrench the belt tensions but the tensionor indicator arm dosent move and it says in haynes manual it should align with an arrow on tensionor back plate. thanks

As far as i can gather having just done mine ok the tensioner is a spring loaded and there is a bolt through tensioner pulley.i marked mine all up top and bottom pulleys and the pinched the two plates on the tensioner assly together with one hand that gave me enough slack to correctly fit belt over pulleys then just let go of tension from tensioner and away you go.
